Massachusetts Basic Ground Search and Rescue School
Interested applicants:
The following letter will outline some of the basics about the Massachusetts Ground Search and Rescue School, basic level. The school is designed to meet the emergency services mission of the Civil Air Patrol by providing a medium to complete the task based portion of the 101T for Ground Team Member Level 3. The school is designed as an educational activity. M-GSAR operates in a professional atmosphere, and will give you a great opportunity to advance your emergency services skills, share knowledge, meet members from other units, challenge your physical and mental abilities, and have some fun in the process!
The staff members you will be working with are highly qualified, hand selected, and very experienced in their fields. For example: Capt. Dawn Tardif - three time National GSAR staff member, designed/wrote/taught the National GSAR Team Leader school, Maj. John Borges - four time National GSAR staff member, lead Field Training advisor for the National GSAR Advanced and Team Leader schools, LTC Lester Dutka, former M GSAR Commandant, 1Lt Paul Marsters, three time National GSAR Staff member, lead Field Training Advisor for the National GSAR Advanced school, and 1Lt Edward Bos - two time National GSAR Staff member, Field Training Advisor for basic school.
