ELT search Plymouth Composite Squadron Serving southeastern Massachusetts |
Tony and Alex locate the signal coming from the ELT (Electronic Lacator Transmitter) somewhere near Plymouth Harbor.
Alex and Tony take a compass bearing on the signal.
Alex, Steve, Rob, and Maj. Westfield find lines of intersection on a map of the harbor. Two or more bearings are taken of the ELT signal. The transmitter is located where the lines intersect.
Cadets aboard the harbor launch heading toward signal location.
With Mayflower replica in the right background, the cadets close in on the ELT.
Triumphant cadets, Maj. Westfield, and Old Colony Memorial reporter return after successfully retieving the ELT.
